When contacting our support desk you might be asked to first Clear your Cache.
Why do we use Cache?
Your browser has a folder where it stores temporary information about a webpage and sometimes these temporary files can interfere with the "live" files that BriefYourMarket is sending to your Web Browser. Cache is used by web browsers to load a website faster meaning when you re-visit a website your browser will check if any content has updated and load it in the background.
Why do we clear Cache?
There are many reasons that we clear our browser cache one of them being that it takes up a lot of space on your hard drive. Sometimes cached versions of websites causes issues, for example your browser doesn't download a new copy of the website even though the website, in our case BriefYourMarket.com will not load properly for you. Meaning that cache is the main culprit of your BriefYourMarket system looking or not functioning as it should.
How do I clear my Cache?
There are many different web browsers and different methods to clear your cache. Below are the most common browsers and the methods.
Please note: We would recommend that you use Google Chrome to use the BriefYourMarket tool.
First things first, try doing CTRL+⇧SHIFT+DELETE and following those steps, if this does not work use the following steps:
Google Chrome:
Open the settings on Chrome. Click the menu icon in the upper right corner of the browser to the right. Click settings on the bottom of the menu. A faster way to get there is to press Control+⇧ Shift+Delete on a PC, or if you're using a Mac ⇧ Shift+⌘ Command+Delete.
From settings, click "Show advanced settings...". It's located at the very bottom of the settings section.
Scroll to the privacy section and click "Clear browsing data".
Select "Cached images and files". Uncheck all other options to avoid deleting browser history, cookies and other things you may wish to retain. Change "Obliterate the following items from" to "the beginning of time".
Press "Clear browsing data". You are done!
