How to add an RSS Feed

Adding an RSS Feed to a newsletter is not as hard as it sounds.

Many news sites have RSS Feeds available for you to go and utilise, for this example we will use the RSS Feed available on BBC News.

So let’s say we want to add a RSS Feed on our newsletter, we will head over to feeds.bbci.co.uk/news/rss.xml and we will be greeted with a page containing lots of links to news articles

Please note: Every page /feed may be slightly different – We advise to find the correct feed URL, using a search engine and searching key words such as 'BBC RSS feed'

Once we have the URL, all we need to do is copy the URL, which is at the top of the page in the search box, and open up your BriefYourMarket user account. Once you have logged in, follow the highlighted path towards “New News Feed”

At this page, you will see a brief description of what a RSS Feed is and below that, there will be a box where you can paste the URL that we copied earlier into.

Now that you have pasted in the URL you can go ahead and hit “Save” you will now be shown your RSS Feeds

This page is where you manage your RSS Feeds; you can enable, disable, preview, edit and delete them.

Job done, RSS Feed complete.

You can preview the results by clicking on the ‘Preview’ button, this is a sure way of making sure the articles you hoped to add, have been added.
